The MHIS (Megha Health Insurance Scheme) is a universal health insurance scheme in the state of Meghalaya providing health insurance to all the residents of the State. The MHIS has helped several beneficiaries with availing healthcare facilities and medications. The insurance covers several ailments and procedures, and Dr. H. Gordon Roberts Hospital is empanelled with MHIS working from 9 AM to 7 PM from Monday to Saturday. All in-patients are required to produce their smart card at the MHIS counter near the registration counter to avail benefits on the day of admission or the next day.
