Thangsning village is situated around 23 kilometers away from Shillong. With the success of the RHC at Mawphlang and Laitmawsiang it seemed only fitting that the work be extended to other villages in need.
The project at Thangsning was sponsored by EZE Germany through the K.J.P Synod Hospital Jaiaw and started on 1st September 1996. The Village Health Workers were trained to deal with minor ailments and checking the vaccination status of children below 5 years of age. Even though the RHC greatly benefitted the people there the number of outpatients continued to dwindle periodically. Thereafter, the Village Durbar approached the hospital and asked for the RHC to be placed at a more convenient location for the villagers.
A plot of land was donated to the hospital and were thereafter able to construct a fully functioning RHC closer to the village.
